In the Data Choser > General > Catalogs, enter 
"https://thredds.ucar.edu/thredds/catalog.xml"; if it is not in the list, expand 
the catalog tree Realtime data from IDD > Forecast Model Data, you should
be able to find the GFS global dataset.
