The act VPN-ing hides your true IP address. So this could be the problem. Try connecting on a non VPN network. It might work. If it doesn't work pick one wireless network (or even better an ethernet connection) and register that IP address with SSEC then always use this connection when working openarchive.ssec.wisc.edu data in the IDV software. If VPN-ing is super important to you we will need to find a way to: 1. Determine the IP address the VPN is presenting to the internet. 2. Determine if the IP address VPN presents is always the same.
