[IDV #XXM-526250]: IDV Not Launching



Hi Cody,

I should have mentioned this earlier.  Actually, /Users/Cody/.unidata folder is
"hidden" directory because it start with a "." which is a Unix operating system
convention.  Also, the .unidata directory sticks around from one version of the
IDV to the next which is consistent with the symptoms you are seeing. It is also
where your Jython formulas are stored. You can see this folder from the OS X
Terminal utility.

Simply opening up the OS X Terminal utility and typing:

mv /Users/Cody/.unidata /Users/Cody/unidata.bak

should do the trick as far as getting that folder out of the way.

I think what happened is writing and saving these formulas somehow corrupted a
file in the .unidata directory which prevents the IDV from starting.
