Gerry, First, update your IDV. It is quite old. The UNAVCO plugin may be giving you trouble. Please delete the UNAVCO plugin in /Users/creager/.unidata/idv/DefaultIdv/plugins/ Alternatively, you can move your ~/.unidata directory (i.e., mv .unidata unidata.bak), and restart the IDV. Reinstall this plugin via the plugin manager. Let us know if you run into problem.
