Brian, Two problems: 1/ Add the conventions attribute (Conventions "CF-1.0") 2/ Units for time should be days since 0000-01-01 12:00 UTC NOT days since 0000-01-00 12:00 UTC Thanks to John Caron for helping get to the bottom of this.
