[IDV #FVM-820950]: IDV cannot run: unable to create graphics configuration

Jonathan,

Such remote display scenarios could be problematic for the IDV.

Out of curiosity, can you open an xterm on the linux system in
question and have it displayed back to the cygwin environment?
