Dear Dr. Alsarraf, You are welcome to browse the IDV catalog tree. Please go to the Dashboard, Data Choosers Tab, Catalogs Node. If it is not selected already, enter a Catalog URL of http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/georesources/idvcatalog.xml At this point, you can navigate to Unidata Model Data --> NCEP Model Data --> Global Forecast System (GFS). There are many videos that describe this data selection process here: http://www.youtube.com/user/unidatanews Best Wishes, Unidata IDV Support > Ive created a domain for Kuwait, but can yo inform me if it possible to use > data from unidata. > > > > On Thursday, March 13, 2014 7:31 PM, Unidata IDV Support <address@hidden> > wrote: > > Dear Dr. Alsarraf, > > This problem is related to a locality issue for numeric values (e.g., > 100.0 vs. 100,0). > > We fixed this problem back in December but you need to use the nightly > IDV release: > > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/idv/nightly/index.jsp > > Best Wishes, > > Unidata IDV Support > > > Full Name: Dr.hussain alsarraf > > Email Address: address@hidden > > Organization: kuwait meterology > > Package Version: 4.1 build date:2013-08-02 18:38 UTC > > Operating System: Windows 7 > > Hardware: Java: home: C:\Users\hussain73\Desktop\IDV_4.1\jre version: > > 1.6.0_43 j3d:1.5.2 fcs (build4) > > Description of problem: Creating display master > > Unparseable number: "-130.0" > > > > please emeil me how to solve the problem: address@hidden > > > > ****************** > > Stack trace: > > java.lang.NumberFormatException: Unparseable number: "-130.0" > > at ucar.unidata.util.Misc.parseNumber(Misc.java:2064) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.updateLonScale(MapProjectionDisplay.java:699) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.makeLonScales(MapProjectionDisplay.java:593) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.resetMapParameters(MapProjectionDisplay.java:2191) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.setMapProjection(MapProjectionDisplay.java:1541) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.setMapProjection(MapProjectionDisplay.java:1515) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.init(MapProjectionDisplay.java:308) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplayJ3D.<init>(MapProjectionDisplayJ3D.java:214) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.getInstance(MapProjectionDisplay.java:406) > > at > > ucar.unidata.view.geoloc.MapProjectionDisplay.getInstance(MapProjectionDisplay.java:375) > > at > > ucar.unidata.idv.MapViewManager.doMakeDisplayMaster(MapViewManager.java:483) > > at ucar.unidata.idv.ViewManager.getMaster(ViewManager.java:5304) > > at ucar.unidata.idv.ViewManager.getComponent(ViewManager.java:5212) > > at ucar.unidata.idv.ViewManager.toFront(ViewManager.java:4531) > > at ucar.unidata.idv.ViewManager.guiInitializationDone(ViewManager.java:2287) > > at ucar.unidata.idv.ui.IdvUIManager.initDone(IdvUIManager.java:998) > > at > > ucar.unidata.idv.IntegratedDataViewer.initInner(IntegratedDataViewer.java:628) > > at > > ucar.unidata.idv.IntegratedDataViewer$3.run(IntegratedDataViewer.java:532) > > at ucar.unidata.util.Misc$3.run(Misc.java:1251) > > > > > > > > > Ticket Details > =================== > Ticket ID: WNQ-618979 > Department: Support IDV > Priority: Normal > Status: Closed > Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: WNQ-618979 Department: Support IDV Priority: Normal Status: Closed
