[IDV #UPZ-959482]: data format

The IDV can read a variety of data formats either from local files or remote 
data servers. It may be best to familiarize yourself with what data the IDV can 
read here: 
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/data/DataSources.html.

Also please update your IDV to the latest version: 
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/idv/latest/index.jsp

Alternatively, please provide us with more information on what you are trying 
to achieve. You can always upload a sample data file for us to examine at 
http://motherlode.ucar.edu/repository/alias/idvupload. Please let us know when 
the data is uploaded.
