Greetings! In the simpleIDV script, look for (around line 4) command="java -Xmx512m -Didv.enableStereo=false -jar ${dirname}/idv.jar -plugin ${dirname}/simpleidv.jar $*" and change -Xmx512m to -Xmx256m and try running simpleIDV.
