[IDV #UIE-572577]: Adding more than 3 files

Greetings Vanessa,

There may be a formula already defined in the IDV that you can use.
However, you'll need to aggregate your grib files. You can load multiple
grib files into the IDV as one data source by doing the following: in the
Data Choosers, select the grib files you'd like to load and then set the
Data Source Type to Aggregate Grids by Time before adding the source.
Once you have added the source, you can use the formula
"Grids -> Time Steps -> Total sum over time steps" to compute the total
sum of a field over the grids you've loaded into the IDV.

Cheers,

Sean
