One way is to manually set > the range of color table selecting range from 'all data'. Is there any > option to make it automatic. The range of the data for the color table is determined either from a parameter default, the color table, or the range of the data. The exception is the Image Display which is a specialized color shaded plan view which scales the color range to 0-255 if the values fall in that range. So, if you are getting 0-255 every time you load in your data and the range of the values is outside that, then I suspect that you have a parameter default that is set to be 0-255. > Another query what is the difference between 'color shaded parameter > as topography' control (for a topography data) and topography control? > Can we say topography control is a specialized form of color shaded > parameter as topography although former was developed before the latter. The Color shaded parameter as topography control allows you to scale any parameter (e.g. temperature) to the vertical axis. The topography control only works for topography data with units convertible with meter or geopotential meter.
