[IDV #RJN-928267]: IDV does gives error when subsetting display area in UBUNTU

I can see the problem, but I don't have the machine to debug on. So, 
I would suggest you to try another way to subset the data, In the Field 
Selector window, under Data Sources:, right click on the dataset, and bring up 
the properties window, and do the subset there. Let me know if this can go 
around the previous problem.
