[IDV #QVS-647667]: IDV - blue marble error

Hi Yoshihisa,
Sometimes the WMS servers (especially the jpl server) have problems or get 
overloaded
and do not respond with an image. 

If this is an ongoing problem you can save a fixed image and then load it in as 
a background image. See the section  "Save as Image Xml/Kml File" in the 
documentation:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/controls/misc/WMSControl.html

From the WMS Display Control do File->Save and give it a ".ximg file suffix. 
Then load that ximg file into the IDV as a data file and you can create an 
image display from that data.

This doesn't allow you to have varying resolution when panning and zooming but 
it eliminates the dependency on the server and makes for much faster rendering.
