We encourage users to run WRFPOST on their netcdf wrf files. This unstaggers the grid and also adds a number of commonly used fields. Doing things in 3D naturally causes memory and performance problems because we are dealing with the full volume of data. As the Performance Tuning web pages points out you can do a number of things - subsetting the times decimation of the grid subsetting in space caching the data to disk I suggest you try some of these solutions before giving up on the IDV. -Jeff Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: SXB-124870 Department: Support IDV Priority: Normal Status: Closed
