Hi Bob-

The installer will prompt you for the directory to install into.  By
default, that will be an IDV_2.2 directory.  That is the suggested way
to do it.  Once you are sure the new version works, you can remove the
old version using the un-installer provided on the Start->All Programs->IDV 2.1
menu.

Alternatively, you could install it into the same directory
which you had 2.1 which will overwrite the old version.
