Hi Cynthia- > I am still having trouble here. I am using IDV 2.0. I add the data source > as an image file (jpg tiff png), then Create Display and the data is > displayed as a movie. Then when I pulldown View-> there are only 2 > choices: a Visible checkbox toggle and the ability to dock and undock > dashboard. The View menu I described was the one on the main window, but that is only for capturing frames from the main display window, not the Quick Time control. > What to do? If you are displaying a pre-generated Quick Time movie, there is no way in the IDV to extract the individual fames. The player that the IDV uses is only a Quick Time player, not an editor. You could try using some image editing tool, but I don't know anything about those. A Google search of "extracting frames from quicktime" produces several options.
