Hi David,
This is Jeff.

The plot facility (right now) tries to find a field in the obs data that 
is the "station id". This works for metars, etc., but your data set does not
have  a station id. What we're going to do (probably be out on Monday)
is to first try to find a field which is the id field. If that fails we will
consider all observations with the same lat lon to be essentially the same 
station
and show them

Thanks for trying this out. Its a very new feature and we hadn't thought about
data sets such as yours.
