This reminds me of the joke about the guy saying to the doctor:
"It hurts when I do this" and the doctor saying: "Well, don't do that"

Have you ever created a station model to display the metars? I'm guessing
you have a bad unit specified in the station model. Try bringing up the station
model editor and deleting or changing any of your own station models.
