[IDV #ARQ-382667]: IDV - Making McIDAS Topography images viewable in 3D

It sure does because then the units are meters.  Otherwise, you have
null units which cannot be mapped to Altitude (which is the vertical
dimension in the IDV) since the units are incompatible.
