Thanks for finding this error.  I put a new version of nc2.2.jar at:

ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/idv/untested/nc2.2.jar

Download that and replace the copy that you have in your installation
(back up the other first).

Please test this and let us know if you find any problems with it.
