Since IDV can't read GRIB directly, do you have a GDS URL that I could
point to?  Can you figure out what units are being returned for the
vertical level?

Also, what version of the IDV are you using (check the Help->About...
dialog).  It may be that the version you have does not have the
fix for units of "mb" as a vertical level.
