>From: address@hidden >Organization: Western Michigan >Keywords: 200404081637.i38GbnCT025579 IDV data request Hi Beth- >I need radar and satelite data for Oklahoma and Kansas on May 4, >1999 between 11:00 and 23:00 hours. Or if that data is not available >perhaps you have satelite and radar data for May 13 1980 for >Kalamazoo Michigan. Or May 4, 2003 satelite and radar level II data >for Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Any one of these >three sets of data will be fine. I need one for a IDV project for >Dr. Cutrim's class at Western Michigan University. For satellite imagery, you can get it from University of Wisconsin at: http://dcarchive.ssec.wisc.edu/edu_data/ Fill out the form for the data you want. In the additional information, specify that you want to have the elements blown down by a factor of 2 to reduce the oversampling. I suggest you get the different bands as different requests (ie. vis in one request, IR in another). The IDV does not handle multibanded images at this time. Level II radar data is available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) through the following link: http://has.ncdc.noaa.gov/plclimprod/plsql/HAS.DsSelect These will be tarred and compressed. You'll need to untar and uncompress the data before you use it.
