OK, it is now understandable why this change came as a surprise.

Well, what is important for one user is not important for another user,
so it is next to impossible to satisfy everyone.  I have to say that
the address@hidden email list has been reasonably quiet
for a long time, so I don't think that subscribers have been feeling
like they're beening spammed... much. ;-)
