Hi Carol, FYI: Topic: GOES-17 ABI mode 6 operations Date/Time Issued: February 21, 2019 1928 UTC Product(s) or Data Impacted: GOES-17 ABI data Date/Time of Initial Impact: February 25, 2019 1400 UTC Date/Time of Expected End: February 27, 2019 2200 UTC Length of Event: 56 hours Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-17 ABI will execute 56 hours of mode 6 operations from 25 February 1400 UTC until 27 February 2200 UTC. Users shall not request Flex Mode (mode 3) or Continuous Full Disk Mode (mode 4) for GOES-17 during this period. Mode 6 operations is a Full Disk every 10 minutes, CONUS every 5 minutes, and 2 meso domains every minute (or 1 domain every 30 seconds). Users may request GEOES-17 MESO domain changes as desired. GOES-17 will return to Flex Mode (mode 3) on 27 February at 2200 UTC. By the way, Greg should be receiving this kind of a status message ** when ** it/they are issued by James McNitt.
