Hi Ryan,

OK, thanks.
re:

It is good for us to know where a non-core site that is looking for an IDD
feed is located so that we can figure out if there is a Unidata university
that might be interested in providing the feed. Admittedly being physically
close really doesn't mean anything since we are all electronically close, but
a "local" university might be more amenable to providing a feed than one
in a different state.

No worries.
One quick comment:
- the National Weather Service is making GOES-16 imagery available in their
NOAAPort Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN)
The CONUS and Mesoscale sectors that are being sent (as tiles) in NOAAPort
have the exact same coverage, bit depth resolution and frequency as
the images in the GOES ReBroadcast (GRB); only the global sectors
that are different: all global GOES-16 images in NOAAPort are 6 km
in resolution while the ones in the GRB range in resolutions from 0.5
km (channel 2) to 2 km (several of the IR channels).
Question:
Do you have a NOAAPort downlink? If yes, you already have access to the
GOES-16 images AND Level 2 products.
Cheers,
Tom
