Good Morning Marcelo, 

THREDDS gets populated via the LDM, so no major "time" savings either way...LDM 
would arrive a bit earlier, maybe a minute or two.

It really depends on your workflow and what access protocol works best for 
you...pulling an opendap URL via THREDDS or reading from disk after being 
populated by the LDM.

We can accommodate either method....
