Both of these show that your REQUEST did not make it to the upstream
host. If they had, and if the LDM on the upstream had not been configured
to ALLOW your REQUEST, we would have seen the REQUEST being denied.
Question:
- what is the IP address and fully-qualified hostname of the machine(s)
that you want to be able to REQUEST from idd.unidata.ucar.edu and
140.90.4.34?
I need the external IP, not the internal/private one.
Also, to test to see if your outbound REQUEST is being blocked, you
can use 'telnet':
<as 'ldm'>
telnet idd.unidata.ucar.edu 388
