'ldmadmin' never accepted the '-p' flag, but 'notifyme' does.

'notifyme'.  The beauty of using 'notifyme' is that you can monitor
the availability on the upstream site feeding you and/or on your
own machine.

Please review 'man notifyme' for more information.
