Hi Gilbert,
re: use 'notifyme' to determine the pattern you need/want first

The short and sweet answer: use 'notifyme' _first_ to determine the pattern
you should use in an LDM pattern-action file.

OK, the pattern is not quite right. The following does work:
CONDUIT data/nccf/com/ruc/.*(20......)....F(001)
Try it:
notifyme -vl- -f CONDUIT -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu -o 1000000 -p
'data/nccf/com/ruc/.*(20......)....F(001)'
I just ran it and it works fine.
Comment:
- this will put all 1-hour forecast fields from all model runs into a
single, daily file
Is this what you want? It seems strange, but what the hey.
Perhaps this would be better?
CONDUIT data/nccf/com/ruc/.*(20........)..F(001)
FILE hrs/ruc/\1.conduit
This will put all 1-hour forecast fields from a single run into the same file.
To me this seems more reasonable, but I don't really know what you are
trying to accomplish, so what the hey :-)

The hour field was missing from the pattern.
Just remember, 'notifyme' is your friend :-)
Cheers,
Tom
