I see _no_ connection attempts by any named machine in the cicsnc.org domain, so the ALLOW that I setup previously is not being triggered. In order force acceptance of feed REQUEST attempts from 198.85.226.2, I have hardwired an IP <-> name correspondence in the /etc/hosts file on idd.cise-nsf.gov. The next time that 198.85.226.2 attempts to connect it should be recognized by the LDM as ldm.cicsnc.org, and data should start flowing because of the ALLOW that is in place. re: > Thank you very much, Any idea why your machine would be recognized as 198.85.226.2?
