Hi Elie, re: > I've been tasked to support the ldm installation we have running on one > of our Linux servers. Welcome aboard :-) re: > I am trying to figure out why we're not receiving any data. Unfortunately the folks who installed this > package are no longer with the university. The information we have on your setup is available online as follows: Unidata HomePage: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu ->Tools -> IDD http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idd/ ->Real-Time IDD statistics http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idd/rtstats/ ->Statistics by Host http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/siteindex Search the last page for 'uncc', and you will see an entry for what is presumably your machine: meteo.uncc.edu. Clicking on that link leads you to a page that shows what datastreams you are ingesting (if this really is your machine), and some statistics for those feeds: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/siteindex?meteo.uncc.edu It appears that you are currently receiving the the following datastreams: GEM, HDS, IDS|DDPLUS, NEXRAD2, NEXRAD3, NGRID, NIMAGE To see if you are actually receiving data, you can click on the 'volume' link for any feed in the list. For instance, clicking on 'volume' for IDS|DDPLUS show that you are, in fact, receiving the data in this datastream. To see who you are getting any datastream from, click on the 'topology' link. This shows that you are getting the IDS|DDPLUS data from idd.unidata.ucar.edu. Clicking on the 'Cumulative Volume Summary' link on the bottom of the page that lists the datastreams that you are getting will show some summary statistics about the data you are receiving: Data Volume Summary for meteo.uncc.edu Maximum hourly volume 2253.565 M bytes/hour Average hourly volume 1310.264 M bytes/hour Average products per hour 96569 prods/hour Feed Average Maximum Products (M byte/hour) (M byte/hour) number/hour NGRID 652.474 [ 49.797%] 1387.344 15652.800 HDS 248.602 [ 18.973%] 447.708 18791.160 NEXRAD3 194.767 [ 14.865%] 219.455 28534.800 NIMAGE 154.497 [ 11.791%] 230.883 180.920 IDS|DDPLUS 35.365 [ 2.699%] 43.296 31293.680 NEXRAD2 21.731 [ 1.658%] 30.766 1921.880 GEM 2.828 [ 0.216%] 29.473 193.880 So, you _are_ receiving over 1.3 GB/hour of data on average with peaks over 2.2 GB/hour. The fact that you don't think you are receiving data when you are tells us that you are not processing the data you are receiving. How can we help you get things going again?
