Hi Bobby,

Please take a close look at the data volume listing I sent in my last
email and do some calculations to determine what data your or another
Internet connection could handle.
For instance, a 5 Mbps connection would allow for a theoretical maximum
of 2.25 GB/hour. No ISP that I know of provides the full amount of their
stated speed continuously, so a rated 5 Mbps feed is likely to support
much less throughput. If I was to guess, I would estimate as little as
half of the advertised speed (or 1.135 GB/hour). On top of that, HughesNet
used to cap the total amount of bandwidth that one could use in a 24 hour
period (I don't know if that is still the case, however).
Given this, I am skeptical that you could receive over the Internet
anywhere close to the volume of data that you are interested in getting.
That is why I suggested that you consider the possibility of installing
a NOAAPort ingest system.
