Hi Patrick,
re: ldmd.conf ALLOW for secondary feed for NEXRAD2 data from idd.cise-nsf.gov

This machine should be able to feed the NEXRAD Level II data from
idd.cise-nsf.gov.

Question:
- is the intention for the ALLOW on idd.cise-nsf.gov to be a secondary/backup
upstream feed site for the TVA?
What we would like to avoid is two machines in the same organization
feeding the same set of data from external relays. Instead, we believe that
the best use of resources is for a single machine at a site to feed
from one more upstreams and then other machines in the same site feed
from it. If the primary ingester at a site fails for some reason (e.g.,
taken down for maintenance), then the other can assume the ingest functions.
Cheers,
Tom
