Hi Adam, re: > I have my HDS,IDS|DDPLUS,UNIWISC up along with our NLDN feed from Albany. Very good. > I read FNMOC feed is having problems...any new on that? No news yet. We are waiting until the new person at FNMOC gets things running smoothly again. > My only other question is NEXRAD2. I am not getting ANYTHING from sirocco > on that side. LSU is not one of the sites that relays the NEXRAD2 data (Nexrad full volume scan data). The toplevel relay sites for NEXRAD2 data in the Unidata community are: Purdue Unidata NSF/ATM Are you wanting to get NEXRAD2 data? Just so you know, the volume in that datastream is very large. Here is a snapshot of volumes for the most popular datastreams in the IDD: Data Volume Summary for idd.unidata.ucar.edu Maximum hourly volume 8440.228 M bytes/hour Average hourly volume 4637.851 M bytes/hour Average products per hour 180948 prods/hour Feed Average Maximum Products (M byte/hour) (M byte/hour) number/hour CONDUIT 1823.881 [ 39.326%] 4548.508 50649.898 NEXRAD2 1516.075 [ 32.689%] 2328.907 44974.816 NGRID 612.344 [ 13.203%] 1059.820 15103.184 HDS 209.824 [ 4.524%] 432.400 18681.551 NNEXRAD 176.784 [ 3.812%] 227.303 21988.816 NIMAGE 145.316 [ 3.133%] 233.184 163.571 FNEXRAD 70.070 [ 1.511%] 87.315 76.143 IDS|DDPLUS 30.654 [ 0.661%] 39.299 28937.673 EXP 26.572 [ 0.573%] 38.370 336.878 UNIWISC 21.125 [ 0.455%] 28.317 18.898 DIFAX 5.167 [ 0.111%] 20.743 6.571 LIGHTNING 0.039 [ 0.001%] 0.158 9.633 As you can see from this listing, the NEXRAD2 data is 1.5 GB/hour on average. > Actually, I am only getting HDS|IDS|DDPLUS|UNIWISC from > sirocco. Is that correct or should I be getting more?? Sirocco gets the majority of its data from a NOAAPort ingester at LSU. The feeds available from NOAAPort are: IDS|DDPLUS HDS <- medium resolution model data mostly in GRIB1 NGRID <- high resolution model data in GRIB2 NIMAGE <- GOES-East/West image sectors NNEXRAD <- Nexrad Level III products > I was getting my NEXRAD2 feed from idd.unidata.ucar.edu before this box > switch. OK. > As I said, just trying to get everything in its correct place. I understand. > Thanks, No worries.
