Hi Guillermo, re: > Here I'm sending you the differences between OLD DATA directory and NEW > DATA directory. OK. > Also, FYI I'm sending you the complete dir tree of both directories. Very good. By the way, did the passwords for 'ldm' and 'mcidas' change? I tried SSHing to your machine as both users, but was unable to get on using the old passwords. Luckily, I was still able to get on using 'root'. Quick comment: after I SSHed to your machine, I found that the disk to which GEMPAK decoders are writing was full: [mcidas@UNIDATA ~]$ df -k Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 75766816 72747320 0 100% / /dev/hda1 101086 23463 72404 25% /boot tmpfs 1035188 0 1035188 0% /dev/shm /dev/hdc1 240362656 63456376 164696480 28% /mnt/hdc1 /dev/hdd2 238355328 160208604 66038936 71% /backup I then logged on as 'ldm' (again first being logged on as 'root') and noticed that you are not running any scouring out of cron: <as 'ldm'> [ldm@UNIDATA ~]$ crontab -l 5 * * * * /home/ldm/gpitt/test So, the first thing I did was run the scouring script: [ldm@UNIDATA ~]$ ldmadmin scour > It would be great if you can do the intall of MCIDAS. I am now waiting to see if the scouring will create enough space for me to download and build McIDAS. > For now, /data is in the same OS Disk; /mnt/hdc1 Is the OLD OS Disk and > there is /mnt/hdc1/data "The OLD DATA Dir". OK. > When the MCIDAS is installed and all working fine I will make the change; > so just go for it. Will do. I will let you know how things go in a follow-on email. > Thanks a lot, No worries.
