Re: Additional LDM production and test instances at TTU

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. We provide the archive for reference; many of the answers presented here remain technically correct, even if somewhat outdated. For the most up-to-date information on the use of NSF Unidata software and data services, please consult the Software Documentation first.

Hi Alan,

Are you looking to ingest data from external sources?

We have given you a "blanket" allow that gives you access to all our
non-proprietary feeds (proprietary feeds are: NLDN-WSI-PCWS-GEM-NOGAPS).
All machines indicated in this e-mail (actually all from the .hpcc.ttu.edu
domain) are "ALLOWED" access to our feeds from:

idd.unidata.ucar.edu

Let us know if we can help further.

To better diagnose and view network performance we strongly suggest you
place this line in your ldmd.conf (in ~ldm/etc) file in the "Exec" section
of that config file.:

###############################################################################
# Exec Entries
###############################################################################

exec "rtstats -f ANY -h rtstats.unidata.ucar.edu"

The output can be viewed at:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idd/rtstats/

Cheers,

Jeff
