YangXin, > Mike have helped us done the setup of the balance program, the balance > program is running in our LDM Server, I checked it in our server as follows: > > # ps -ef|grep ldm|more > .. > ldm01 18415 1 0 Mar30 ? 00:00:00 ./balance 8080 localhost:388 The above shows that the CMA LDM host is running the "balance" program. Therefore, ECMWF and NCAR should be able to request CMA data from port 8080 (instead of port 388). Traffic on port 8080 appears to be less restricted than on port 388. > Also in our ldmd.conf, I can see multiple lines like the following: > > REQUEST ANY "^z_tigge_c_(ecmf|egrr).*\.grib.*0$" > tigge-ldm.ecmwf.int:8080 > REQUEST ANY "^z_tigge_c_(ecmf|egrr).*\.grib.*0$" > ultrazone.ucar.edu:8080 Those REQUEST entries do not show that the CMA LDM host is running the "balance" program. Instead they show that the CMA LDM is trying to get data from port 8080 on the ECMWF and NCAR LDM hosts, which must be running the "balance" program (and I believe they are).
