Hi Jean, The e-mail is used to contact the site administrator. We have an "ldm-users" e-mail list that is used for topical discussions and notifications of outages, etc... I encourage ALL who will be using the LDM to subscribe to this list, it can be done at: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/support/mailinglist/mailing-list-form.html The e-mail address we ask for at time of registration should be that of the individual maintaining the LDM..this may be a prof, scientist, or an IT person..depends on institute. So, most user stuff will get sent to the list "ldm-users" and IT stuff should be send individually to the point of contact (LDM maintainer). Hope this clears things up...
