John, You'd have to provide your pqact.conf for particulars, but som basic information here: 1) ECMWF only makes a small bit of data available for free. Your patterns are storing ECMWF parameters in separate files. The ECMWF data comes on 12 subgrids that can be stitched together into a global grid. 2) The NOAAPORT broadcast (the source of the HDS grids) does contain a subset of what you would find on the FTP servers. That is because NWS only broadcasts what there is a "need" for the field offices to receive (bandwidth considerations). We do carry a feedtype CONDUIT which is populated with NWS ftp server files that represent the full set of grids available for those data sets described at: http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/data/conduit/ldm_idd/index.html 3) The names you are using for models below are old, and no longer found on the ftp server. The ETA model is now known as NAM, AVN/MRF are collectively known ad GFS. You can find additional information through the NWS docs at: http://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/data/ Steve Chiswell Unidata User Support >From: "John Cangialosi" <address@hidden> >Organization: UCAR/Unidata >Keywords: 200505101950.j4AJoEP3006991 > >Hi, > >My name is John Cangialosi, from the University of Miami.
