Re: 20030106:High latencies to Arizona

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. We provide the archive for reference; many of the answers presented here remain technically correct, even if somewhat outdated. Mike,

Please try feeding from thelma.ucar.edu

Let me know what you see.

What version of the LDM are you running, I do not see your machine on our
real-time stats page so I suspect 5.1 or lower. It is a very useful tool
for diagnosis, so if you have not upgraded, it would behoove you, if you
have upgraded..please place this :

exec "rtstats -h flip.unidata.ucar.edu"

in your ldmd.conf file thusly:

####
#
# Programs that share a queue with rpc.ldmd
# are started by it and are in the same process group.
#
exec "pqbinstats"
exec "pqact"
exec "pqact -f NMC2|SPARE /opt/ldm/etc/pqact.conduit"
exec "pqact -f NEXRAD /opt/ldm/etc/pqact.nexrad"
exec "xcd_run MONITOR"
exec "rtstats -h flip.unidata.ucar.edu"

Let me know what you see after flipping to thelma...

FYI- real stats are at:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/chiz/latency/rtstats/

index1.shtml is by feedtype and
index2.shtml is by site

Cheers,

-Jeff
