Hi Ron, Steve is correct. I would like for you to install your LDM and once you are up I will find sites from whom you will "feed" [get data] from. There are many supported binary builds for the LDM, so hopefully loading the software will not prove troublesome, if you experience any difficulties please respond to address@hidden The main step for obtaining your upstream data feed source will be contacting me and then we/you will perform some traceroute functions to some likely "feed" candidates, and then get you set up with a primary feed and a failover feed. I will also need the full machine name and hopefully an IP address, a contact name, e-mail, and ph #. Thank you and welcome aboard, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Fri, 9 Mar 2001, Unidata Support wrote: > ------- Blind-Carbon-Copy > > To: "Ronald Weglarz" <address@hidden> > cc: address@hidden > Subject: 20010309: Subscribe to IDD Program > In-reply-to: Your message of "Fri, 09 Mar 2001 12:13:52 EST." > <address@hidden> > Date: Fri, 09 Mar 2001 13:38:26 -0700 > From: Unidata Support <address@hidden> > > > Ron, > > I sent your message on to Jeff Weber who manages our IDD topology. > He most likely will refer you to the LDM installation web pages: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/ > > Once you have the LDM sowtare installed, which is used to participate in > the IDD, you will find on the "Configuring the LDM Check List" page: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/ldmConfigInstallList.html > the steps to "Obtain upstream data feed source": > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/ldmConfigInstallList.html#s3 > > > Steve Chiswell > Unidata User Support > > > > > >From: "Ronald Weglarz" <address@hidden> > >Organization: UCAR/Unidata > >Keywords: 200103091714.f29HE2L29571 > > > > > > > Hello (Dr. Steve Chiswell R U still with UNIDATA??!!) --- I would like > > to > >participate and subscribe to the UNIDATA IDD prgram by which we (WCSU) can > >recieve near, real-time meteorological data from the various sources that you > >have for use in our Meteorological Studies and Weather Center.
