Brian, These are QPE and NWW3 related grids. The NWS (center 8) process 0 is the RCM grid (HAXA00 KWBC). Some of the River Forecast Center QPF (Center=9) gribs now use the subcenter (PDS 26) to identify the NWS office. I have most of them defined in the $GEMTBL/grid/gribkey.tbl file that dcgrib2 will use for automatically naming the data files. I'll attatch below if you aren't using GEMPAK and/or dcgrib2. In general, I just pipe the entire set of grib headers to one dcgrib2 invocation and let the table define the file name, nnumber of grids etc- instead of trying to maintain a separate set of pqact.conf entries. !center subcenter modelid grid Output grid file name max_grids ! <snip> !
