=============================================================================== Robb Kambic Unidata Program Center Software Engineer III Univ. Corp for Atmospheric Research address@hidden WWW: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/ =============================================================================== ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 10 Nov 1999 09:10:36 -0700 From: Steve Chiswell <address@hidden> To: address@hidden Subject: IDD exceptions growing Frm the message below, The SDUS40 products on NWSTG noaaport channel and being set out in the DDPLUS|IDS IDD stream will now be issued as SDUS41-SDUS46. SDUS41-SDUS46 currently carry the RCM data which contain some binary header information, so SSEC's ingest software has these products in the exceptions list. As a result, these headers go out over the HRS stream. With no action, the former SDUS40 products will move into the HRS stream due to the exceptions file. That means that both ROB and RCM products will be found under the same WMO headers. At present, the pil identifiers are only part of the DDPLUS|IDS stream and are not being placed on the HRS products since the HRS stream was realy not supposed to be carrying this type of data. I can update the pqing ingest code to now put pils on DDPLUS and HRS feeds with a minimum of effort- but SSEC and Alden would again have to implement this same ingestor change. Should we proceed?
