Yes, I noticed this a little while ago.  I just ran:

notifyme -vxl- -f MCIDAS -o 3600 -h unidata.ssec.wisc.edu

and got:

Aug 01 00:59:29 notifyme[13301]: NOTIFYME(unidata.ssec.wisc.edu): 
h_clnt_create(unidata.ssec.wisc.edu): Timed out while creating connection
        NOTIFYME(unidata.ssec.wisc.edu): h_clnt_create(unidata.ssec.wisc.edu): 
Timed out while creating connection

A ping shows that unidata.ssec.wisc.edu is there, but evidently its LDM is
not running, so nobody should be getting Unidata-Wisconsin imagery.
