Interesting.  What is the nature of it hanging?  What are the steps taken and 
what is the behavior of the program you observe?  Does it render a UI and a 
map?  If you launch nmap2 from the command line, do you see any telling error 
messages printed to the console?

What is your version of openmotif (rpm -qa |grep openmotif), and gcc/gfortran 
(gfortran -v)?
