> This question is for Michael: Can I tell GEMPAK to read a local modified > copy of imgtyp.tbl instead from $GEMTBL/sat? > Hello Kwan, Yes, GEMPAK does this in a very easy way. Before checking $GEMTBL for a file to open, GEMPAK checks in the present working directory. If you copy $GEMTBL/sat/imgtyp.tbl, for example, to your present working directory and made edits, GEMPAK will find and read the newly edited file rather than open the same file in $GEMTBL.
