I am not sure what to do now, I have to admit.  Sorry I don't have a more 
satisfactory answer for you, but I don't have any experience building GEMPAK 
with Intel compilers.

The best thing to do may be build with gfortran and confirm absolutely that the 
compiler is the reason for graphics not displaying fully.   I will take a stab 
at an ifort build on my end but I will be learning as a go.
