Hi, re: > Can your software, i.e. GEMPAK, be loaded on a laptop running Windows 7? > I am new to this field and am very interested in your software. No, not directly; GEMPAK runs under *nix (Unix, Linux). There are, however, a number of users who have successfully run GEMPAK in a Linux virtual machine under VMware Player (free from www.vmware.com) under Windows XP. I have not seen any comments from users about doing the same under Windows 7, but my guess that it would work. NB: if you decide to try running in a Linux (e.g., Fedora, CentOS) VMware virtual machine, you should be aware that you will have a considerable bit of installation, configuration, and maintenance to perform.
