[Staging #KYN-678004]: ldm problems on ingest

Greg,

A quick search of the GEMPAK support-email archive seems to indicate
that "dcmetr" can have a segmentation violation if the input format
isn't correct.

Where are the METAR-s on which "dcmetr" crashes coming from?
