> Hello Steve, > > Got a soft crash from dcmsfc. Is anyone seeing this? Gilbert, No. I'm running dcmsfc in real time here under FC7 and haven't seen any decoder problems. A common reason for a decoder to ger hung up is that something caused more than one decoder to be writing to the same file- eg if the LDM pqact filled up a pipe and so started a second instance of the decoder. That would either be slow disk IO by the decoder so that dcmsfc had to wait too long for pqact, or the decoder was stuck in a loop. If this is a frequent problem, then examining the dcmsfc.log file might help. If it is repeatable on reingesting data, than it could be a bad product. Since I haven't seen any problems here under FC7, I don't think it is a problem with a product since I would have expected to see that here, and my 2 copies have been up since Dec 4.
